Softball Recap: Mahomet-Seymour Comes Up Short

Mahomet-Seymour lost against Effingham back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell 8-3 to the Hearts. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maddie Logsdon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalista Granadino, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mahomet-Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Effingham, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

While Mahomet-Seymour had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
