Soccer Recap: Sterling Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sterling, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Nederland Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout on Friday. The Rangers' winning goal came courtesy of Criss Velasquez.

Sterling is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Nederland and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Sterling will venture away from home to challenge West Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nederland, they will challenge Port Arthur Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Arthur Memorial will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.
