Yorktown couldn't beat Karnes City on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Wildcats came up short against the Badgers, falling 16-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Badgers: they've now lost four in a row.

Yorktown's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Karnes City, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Yorktown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 defeat against Port Aransas on the 10th. As for Karnes City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 13-2 loss against Cuero on the 9th.
