Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Lincoln

The Skyline Spartans will challenge the Lincoln Lynx on Friday. Skyline is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.

Skyline is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Emerald Ridge get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Given Skyline's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while Emerald Ridge are ranked 32nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lincoln got the win against Skyview on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 15-6-2. As for Skyline, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Skyline skirted past Lincoln 1-0 in their previous meeting on Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
