Basketball Recap: Manchester Extends Winning Streak to Four

Manchester had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Enfield Eagles as they made off with a 74-53 win. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Manchester's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chance Clark, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 21 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Clark a new career-high. Will Oden-Tann was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards.

Manchester's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Enfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Manchester will venture away from home to challenge Glastonbury at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Manchester knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Glastonbury likes a good challenge. As for Enfield, they will face off against East Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
