Softball Recap: Ellington's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

Ellington has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 1.71 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bolton Bulldogs by a score of 12-11. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Alexia Laffin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Mickyla Wong was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ellington fell to 6-1. As for Bolton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ellington will face off against rival East Windsor at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bolton is set to take on their familiar foe Rockville at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
