Basketball Recap: Heritage Academy Heroes vs. BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs
The Heritage Academy Heroes won the last time they faced the BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Heritage Academy walked away with a 49-36 win over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Heritage Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Bergman, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Campbell, who scored 15 points.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nithish Prakash, who scored eight points along with seven steals. Prakash has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Tropper, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Heritage Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Heritage Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Bobcats at 7:03 p.m. on February 5th. BASIS - Chandler has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 345 points over their last five contests. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, they will head out on the road to challenge the Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. AZ Compass Prep is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
