Basketball Game Preview: North Union Wildcats vs. Liberty Union Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

North Union took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Northwestern by a score of 58-45.

Meanwhile, Liberty Union strolled past Fairfield Christian Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 69-50. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

North Union pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Liberty Union, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

North Union strolled past Liberty Union when the teams last played back in March of 2021 by a score of 68-49. Does North Union have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty Union turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
