With a playoff win on the line, Cardinal Newman rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Porter-Gaud Cyclones as they made off with a 6-2 win. It was an even better day for Tanner Battafarano as he scored three goals for his team.

The victory made it two in a row for Cardinal Newman and bumps their season record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those two matchups. As for Porter-Gaud, they moved to 16-7 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Cardinal Newman nor the Cyclones have any future games scheduled.
