Volleyball Recap: Stephenson Comes Up Short

Stephenson had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gladstone Braves. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Olivia Cappaert paced Stephenson's offense, picking up three kills. Cappaert got some help from Addison Olson and her three assists. Aunna Havelka controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Stephenson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Houghton on the 23rd. Gladstone has also already played their next matchup (against Kingsford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
