Volleyball Recap: Willow Spring Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Willow Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Apex Cougars, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Storm of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Willow Spring took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.

Paola Quirez was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 16 assists and five digs.

Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Apex, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, Willow Spring will square off against Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apex, they will challenge Millbrook at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
