Basketball Game Preview: Bridgeport Bulldogs vs. Shadyside Tigers

Bridgeport hasn't had much luck against Shadyside recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bridgeport Bulldogs will welcome the Shadyside Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Bridgeport didn't have quite enough to beat Frontier and fell 62-59. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jaleel Vincent, who went 8 for 14 en route to 23 points along with five assists and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Coen Brinker, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Shadyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 71-60 to Bellaire. The contest was a 32-32 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Shadyside's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Bridgeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
