Softball Recap: Lynn Classical Has No Trouble Against Lynn English

Lynn Classical won against Malden on Saturday with 20 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Rams put the hurt on the Lynn English Bulldogs with a sharp 20-4 victory. Considering the Rams have won six matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lynn Classical let Brooke Braswell and Mia Duncan run wild. Braswell got on base in three of her five plate appearances with five runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Duncan got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Those four runs gave Duncan a new career-high. Chloe Corbett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Lynn Classical kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lynn Classical is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Lynn English, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Lynn Classical will host Swampscott at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lynn English, they will take on Chelsea at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
