Baseball Recap: Plain Dealing Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Plain Dealing took on Castor on Monday. The Lions came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 12-8. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Jerry Harris and Bo Bailey did most of the damage at the plate: Harris got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Bailey went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Plain Dealing is 3-1 when Harris posts two or more runs, but 3-7-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cade DeMoss, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Plain Dealing's victory bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Castor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plain Dealing will host North Caddo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Castor, they will face off against Quitman at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
