Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Sparrows Point's Winning Streak

Sparrows Point and Huntingtown squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Sparrows Point had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 19-0. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Pointers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the defeat, Sparrows Point broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-9. As for Huntingtown, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Sparrows Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Huntingtown, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-0 win against Lackey on the 17th.
