Soccer Recap: Johnsburg Comes Up Short

Johnsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Harvard Hornets. While losing is never fun, Johnsburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while Harvard are ranked 220th).

Johnsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Harvard, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Johnsburg and Harvard will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Skyhawks see the pitch they'll take on North Boone at 4:30 p.m. on October 9. As for Harvard, their break will end when they face Genoa-Kingston at 6:30 p.m. on October 9.
