Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Justin Leathers Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Southridge got the W thanks in part to Justin Leathers playing the best football he has all season. Leathers rushed for 177 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass.

The victory was the third in a row for Southridge, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. They and Forest Park are set to duel on Friday.

Boyd Came Up Big in Pike Central's 28-21 Defeat

While Pike Central might've come up empty on Friday, Grant Boyd wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Boyd as he rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

On the year, Boyd has averaged 18.6 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

While Jed Galvin delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for North Posey. Galvin was dynamite, rushing for 39 yards.

If the past is any indication, Galvin could be in store for another big game when he takes on Pike Central on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Galvin saw the Chargers), he rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.
