If Payson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crimson Cliffs, they should've done a better job of containing Lily Jones. The Mustangs came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1 on Friday thanks in part to Jones, who had 19 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 19-25, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Payson had strong showings from Brynley Nielson, who had 20 digs and three assists, and Allie Mangum, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Crimson Cliffs is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Payson, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Crimson Cliffs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Cedar on the 30th. As for Payson, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Spanish Fork on the 30th.
