Volleyball Recap: Proviso West Takes a Loss

Proviso West lost against Downers Grove North back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-4.

Downers Grove North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Angelika Krob out in front who had seven digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Krob a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madi Mastalarz, who had eight assists and three aces.

Proviso West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Downers Grove North, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Proviso West will square off against Saint Viator at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Downers Grove North has already played their next game (against Yorkville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
