Baseball Recap: Lake Cormorant vs. South Panola Tigers
Lake Cormorant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Panola Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against South Panola this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 two weeks ago.
Jake Romero put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Romero was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
