Basketball Recap: Lake Forest Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lake Forest Academy dropped to 3-3 on Tuesday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a 69-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Phillips Wildcats. If the Caxys were looking for revenge after losing 51-39 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Phillips, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Phillips' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mia Scott led the charge by putting up 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamaria Sephus, who posted 18 points.

Coming up, Lake Forest Academy will be playing at home against Regina Dominican at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Phillips, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kenwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
