Desert Hills put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Pocatello with a sharp 11-1 win. Desert Hills might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Maddux MacIntosh looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Harmon Skeen was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Haigen Reed, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Desert Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pocatello only posted an OBP of .286.

Desert Hills' victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Pocatello, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Desert Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-10 win against Wasatch on the 14th. As for Pocatello, they will challenge Orem at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Orem is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
