Soccer Recap: Crockett Comes Up Short

Crockett's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 7-1 to the Palestine Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 535th, while the Wildcats are ranked 103rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Crockett and nudges their season record down to 5-5-1. As for Palestine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3-1.

Crockett will take on Madisonville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palestine, they will square off against Hudson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palestine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9 goals per game this season.
