Volleyball Recap: Sam Lee Key Part of Team Effort in Colts Win

Carson proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the South East Jaguars 3-2.

Carson was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-106), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12.

Carson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Lee, who had ten digs and six aces.

Lee wasn't the only good server: Carson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Carson's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for South East, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Carson will be playing at home against Bell at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South East, they will head out on the road to face off against Banning at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
