After a string of seven wins, Athens Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were dealt an 81-50 loss at the hands of the Lakeview Academy Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Lions since January 12, 2019.

Athens Christian's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 14-5. As for Lakeview Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
