Baseball Recap: Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks vs. River Forest Ingots
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 11-1 walloping at the hands of the River Forest Ingots on Friday. Hammond Academy of Science & Tech has not had much luck with River Forest recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isiah Logan, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.
On River Forest's side, Sebastian Collazo IV made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk).
