After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Peabody brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Lake County Falcons on Friday. The Golden Tide haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Grey Buchanan made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Buchanan was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Caden McClellan and La'Tavean Cannon did most of the damage at the plate: McClellan scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Cannon scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those runs marked the first that McClellan scored this season. Another player making a difference was Beau Elliott, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Peabody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Lake County, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
