Volleyball Recap: Freeport Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Freeport gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the North Boone Vikings. The Pretzels were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Vikings, so the Pretzels were just returning the favor.

The win didn't come easy: North Boone scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Mackenzee Matz paced Freeport's offense, picking up six kills. Matz got some help from Ava Almasy and her nine assists.

Freeport has already played their next game (against Harlem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Boone, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Alden-Hebron on the 26th.
