Soccer Recap: Desert Hot Springs' Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

There's no place like home for Desert Hot Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Banning Broncos by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Golden Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 791st, while the Broncos are ranked 210th).

Desert Hot Springs hit Banning with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elias Rivera, Jose Arellano, and Rivery Reymundo.

The win snapped Desert Hot Springs' losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-5-2 record. As for Banning, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4-1.

Desert Hot Springs has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Cathedral City on the 17th. As for Banning, they will square off against Desert Mirage at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Mirage will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Banning surely won't give up without a fight.
