Softball Recap: Unioto Takes a Loss

After flying high against Huntington on Wednesday, Unioto came back down to earth. The Shermans fell just short of the Eastern Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.

Maddie Tuttle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Unioto dropped their record down to 8-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Eastern, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unioto will square off against Paint Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Shermans are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Eastern, they will welcome Green at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
