Recap: Branchville Yellow Jackets vs. Military Magnet Academy Eagles
The Branchville Yellow Jackets posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Military Magnet Academy and snuck past 50-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Branchville.
Branchville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Felder, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Felder has scored all season. Kyran Glover was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Military Magnet Academy still got an impressive performance from Jailen Williams, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Williams hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Waters, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Branchville's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Military Magnet Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
Branchville will be playing in front of their home fans against Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Military Magnet Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Burke at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burke will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
