Volleyball Recap: Lena-Winslow's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Lena-Winslow had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Olympia Spartans on Saturday.

Lena-Winslow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kieryn Getz out in front who had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Getz a new career-high. Landrie Spidahl also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Lena-Winslow was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Olympia saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gabby Dickhut had seven digs and six kills.

Lena-Winslow now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Olympia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.

Lena-Winslow wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Pecatonica on the 7th. As for Olympia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Riverton on the 7th.
