Soccer Game Preview: Dutch Fork vs. River Bluff

Dutch Fork is 0-10 against River Bluff since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. Dutch Fork will be playing at home against River Bluff at 7:00 p.m. Dutch Fork has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dutch Fork managed to keep up with Lexington until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Dutch Fork lost 7-1 to Lexington. While losing is never fun, Dutch Fork can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Lexington are ranked 18th).

Meanwhile, River Bluff had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout. River Bluff's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last seven games.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Anna Allen, who's now up to ten this season.

River Bluff pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Dutch Fork, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Dutch Fork came up short against River Bluff in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Dutch Fork avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
