Soccer Recap: Austin Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Austin barely beat Decatur the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Austin Black Bears never let the Decatur Red Raiders get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Thursday. The Black Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by four goals or more this season.

Austin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. Decatur is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Austin has already played their next game (against Southside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Decatur will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Athens at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
