Baseball Recap: Ware Shoals Takes Down Ranked Emerald

On Wednesday, Ware Shoals faced Emerald in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ware Shoals Hornets walked away with an 11-8 win over the Emerald Vikings. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Madden, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brennan Goode, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
