Volleyball Recap: Purcell Marian Takes a Loss

Purcell Marian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Mercy McAuley Wolves.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-7.

Mercy McAuley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but McKenna Rischmann led the charge by getting four digs and three aces.

Purcell Marian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mercy McAuley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Purcell Marian will challenge North College Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mercy McAuley, they will square off against Roger Bacon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
