Basketball Recap: Newcastle Falls Despite Big Games from Adalyn Olson and Sydney Pederson

Newcastle was the 54-29 winner over Upton when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Newcastle Dogies fell 45-38 to the Upton Bobcats on Tuesday. The Dogies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newcastle's loss came despite strong showings from Sydney Pederson and Adalyn Olson. Pederson went 6-for-15 to rack up 17 points and seven boards, while Olson went 7-for-16 on her way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Newcastle's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Upton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Newcastle has already played their next matchup, a 45-28 victory against Glenrock on the 14th. As for Upton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-51 win against Arvada-Clearmont on the 13th.
