Peninsula gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Torrance Tartars. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tartars: they've now won four in a row.

While Peninsula won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 27-25, 25-14.

Peninsula has already played their next contest (against Carlsbad), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Torrance, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against La Serna on the 19th.
