Football Recap: Woodward Academy Piles Up the Points Against Chamblee + How To Watch

Woodward Academy had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 36-point drubbing they dealt Chamblee on Friday. The War Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 56-20. With the War Eagles ahead 56-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Ryan Harrigan had a dynamite game, throwing for 211 yards and five touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (170.7). A healthy portion of Harrigan's aerial production (85 yards to be exact) went to Christian Durmeyer, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Woodward Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Robert Douglass and Zaydn Young each grabbed an interception. Douglass got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Woodward Academy pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points over those games. As for Chamblee, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
