Ledford gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the East Davidson Golden Eagles with a sharp 59-36 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Leading Ledford to victory were Izzy Smith and Addie Robertson. Smith went 8 for 12 en route to 16 points plus eight steals and five rebounds, while Robertson went 8 for 19 en route to 24 points plus two steals.
