Softball Recap: Green Ridge Tigers vs. Leeton Bulldogs
Green Ridge won the last time they faced Leeton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 13-8.
Mikensey Devorss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered eight earned runs on 12 hits and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, Kayden Box and Lc Box did most of the damage at the plate: Kayden went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Lc got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases and four runs. That's the most stolen bases Lc has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Abby Warner, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Green Ridge now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Leeton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Green Ridge has already played their next match (against Lincoln), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Leeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
