Baseball Game Preview: Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks vs. Roger Bacon Spartans

For the second straight game, Cincinnati Country Day will face off against Roger Bacon. The Nighthawks will welcome the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cincinnati Country Day and Roger Bacon meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Nighthawks walked away with a 5-2 win over the Spartans.

Levi Guttman and Nate Paumier did most of the damage at the plate: Guttman scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Paumier scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Elijah Guttman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Roger Bacon is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. As for Cincinnati Country Day, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
