Basketball Game Preview: Randolph-Clay Red Devils vs. Twiggs County Cobras

Two dominant guards in Jaleen Gibson and Daniel Pitts are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Randolph-Clay Red Devils will welcome the Twiggs County Cobras at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Randolph-Clay will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

Randolph-Clay will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Calhoun County, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Randolph-Clay came out on top against Calhoun County by a score of 56-48 on Friday.

Randolph-Clay's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jes'Us Daniels, who went 5-for-8 en route to 16 points and five boards. What's more, Daniels also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Tyrion Smith was another key player, putting up 15 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Twiggs County came up short against Wilkinson County on Thursday, falling 74-48. The loss continues a trend for the Cobras in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Twiggs County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Randolph-Clay, their win bumped their record up to 25-2.
