Football Recap: Brackett Falls to Comfort in First Game of Season

Brackett had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 43-19 to the Comfort Bobcats/Deer on Friday. The Tigers were down 36-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Hunter Ledlow and Gabriel Gonzalez. Ledlow rushed for 89 yards and one score on only ten carries while Gonzalez gained 52 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Gonzalez a new career-high in rushing yards (17).

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brackett will venture away from home to take on Cotulla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Comfort, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Dilley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
