Football Recap: Seminole Indians vs. Levelland Lobos
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Seminole had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 70-32 win over the Levelland Lobos. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
A big part of Seminole's victory came down to the chemistry between Wyatt Holmstrom and his top target Caton Cramer. Holmstrom threw for 271 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80.6% of his passes while Cramer gained 230 total yards and a touchdown. Holmstrom has been hot , having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Mccormick, who picked up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Seminole was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.
Seminole wouldn't let Levelland keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Seminole can thank Gabryl Alaniz and Rowin Donaldson for forcing both of them.
Seminole's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Levelland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
