Volleyball Recap: Valley Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Horizon Honors

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Valley Christian walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Horizon Honors Eagles on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Valley Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-11, 25-23.

Travis Christy was the offensive standout of the match as he had 14 digs and two assists. That's the most assists he has posted over his last six contests.

Valley Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are a perfect 9-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Valley Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. As for Horizon Honors, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.

Looking ahead, Valley Christian will venture away from home to face off against Benjamin Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. Horizon Honors does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
