Volleyball Recap: Southport Has No Trouble Against Lawrence Central

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roncalli, Southport was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Lawrence Central Bears 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Southport was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-10, 25-6.

Francis Lian went supernova, getting 16 assists and six aces. Lian is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season. Daniel Ding Sa also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Southport couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 49% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was back in May of 2024.
