Baseball Recap: Safford Takes a Loss

After flying high against Coolidge last Monday, Safford came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Globe Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 10-7.

Safford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Trujillo, who went 3-for-4 with one double. Noah Cuencas also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Safford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Globe, their record is now 6-9.

Looking ahead, Safford will head out to square off against Rio Rico at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Globe, they will take on Superior in a tournament on Friday.
