Basketball Game Preview: Providence Panthers vs. Porter Ridge Pirates + Official Tickets

The Providence Panthers will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Porter Ridge Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Providence is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Harding University by a score of 63-61 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Porter Ridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 59-55 to Forest Hills.

Providence didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Porter Ridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
