Baseball Recap: Kamiak Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Kamiak had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Arlington Eagles with a sharp 7-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Wednesday.

Joe Estes looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Andrew Fetty was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonah Swardstrom, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Kamiak pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Arlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Kamiak will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
